When you take the crystal quiz, we ask for your email address and, optionally, your first name. We do not collect any other personal information, and the quiz itself does not require you to identify yourself before you see your result — only if you choose to have your full reading emailed to you.
We use your email address solely to send you the personalised crystal reading you requested through the quiz. We do not send marketing emails, newsletters, or any other communication unless you separately and explicitly ask us to.
We process your email address on the basis of legitimate interest — you have actively requested a specific reading, and we send you exactly that, once. If this ever changes (for example, if we introduce a mailing list), we will ask for your clear, separate consent first.

We do not sell or share your data with anyone for marketing purposes.
We do not maintain our own database of quiz submissions. Your email address is passed to EmailJS at the moment you submit it, purely to send that one message. EmailJS may retain a short delivery history as part of its own service operation — see EmailJS's privacy policy for details.
Under UK GDPR, you can ask us what data we hold about you, ask us to correct or delete it, or object to how it's used. Contact soulandselenite@gmail.com for any of these. You can also complain to the UK Information Commissioner's Office (ICO) at ico.org.uk if you're unhappy with how we've handled your data.
We use Google Analytics (GA4) to understand how visitors use this site — but only if you accept the optional cookies banner shown when you first visit. Analytics is not sent to Google unless you accept: until you do, the Google Analytics code isn't loaded at all, so no request of any kind reaches Google's servers and no analytics cookies are set. If you accept, Google Analytics loads at that point and sets a couple of first-party cookies (typically named _ga and _ga_<id>) to distinguish visitors and sessions. You can review or change your choice at any time using the "Cookie settings" link at the bottom of this and every page.
We don't use any advertising, retargeting, or cross-site tracking cookies. The only other "cookie-like" storage on this site is your browser's own localStorage, used to remember your cookie choice — this never leaves your device.
The free reading you request through the quiz is always sent regardless of any marketing preference — we never make it conditional on agreeing to receive anything else. Separately, if we ever offer an optional sign-up for occasional Soul & Selenite emails (new content, seasonal offers), it will be a clearly separate, unticked checkbox that you choose for yourself, and every such email will include an easy way to unsubscribe.
